The EX controller contains a Door Entry system that provides a compatible loop start (LS) trunk connectivity between the PBX and the Foreign Exchange Office (FXO) ports of the controller. You must disable the Dial Tone Detection Mode in the FXO Dialing Configuration to ensure access to the Door Entry System when calls are placed on the FXO trunks.
NOTE: This programming topic is applicable only to EX Controller.
To disable Dial Tone Detection Mode:
From the Default configuration files drop-down list, select mitel_Disable_Dialtone_Detection.cfg.
Click Execute.
The system displays a warning message that the operation may cause
the system to reset.
Click OK
to continue.
The operation may take some time to complete. When the operation completes,
the Dial Tone Detection Mode
will be disabled for the selected FXO trunk.
